High Fidelity Prototyping

Test your application out before it launches and immerse yourself in the user experience

High-fidelity prototypes are essentially working models of your website or application that you can engage with and test before anything goes live. Nowadays, we find prototyping an essential part of our design process, as it makes the design process a much smoother collaboration. We use a software called Figma, and it allows you to see how everything works before it gets hard-coded, making amends and changes a breeze for you and our team.

Our approach

WIREFRAMES

Firstly, we build out what we call a ‘skeleton’ version of your website or application to make sure we have all areas of the user journey covered. At this stage, it’s stripped back with little colour or design direction, to minimise any distractions and give you a more objective perspective of the user journey. This is usually the time when anything that hasn’t been thought about yet gets added, as it’s much easier to notice missing elements this way.

ESTABLISH A DESIGN SYSTEM

We then implement the branding and design system we established at the User Interface (UI) phase. Typically in this stage, we plan out the animation direction and test out the accessibility of the brand in situ, making sure everything works exactly how we intended. We work in a component-driven system that allows us to carry out any amends swiftly and to also give consistency to the design.

TEST AND REFINE

Once we have got everything looking slick and fully linked up, we start a rigorous testing process. We analyse all parts of the user journey, on multiple devices to make sure there aren’t any inconsistencies and that the user journey is as seamless as possible, as well as fully responsive. We guide you through the testing phase and get some final feedback before the prototype is ready to be handed over to our development team!
